Robbery attempts in Mineral County - 02/14

— KEYSER, W.Va. — At-tempted robberies Monday evening at the Dollar General Store and at the Keyser Inn a short time later are being investigated by the Mineral County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies responded to a reported attempted robbery Monday at the Dollar General Store located off U.S. Route 220 South at about 6:30 p.m.

Officers were told that a white man had entered the store and attempted to grab money from the cash register. The suspect then ran from the area.

Approximately 30 minutes later, a 911 call was received from the area of the Keyser Inn, also located off U.S. 220 South, reporting a white man had entered that business, produced a small knife and demanded money. He also ran from the area.
