CUMBERLAND — Cumberland Police arrested 47-year-old James Rossell on Saturday following a foot chase in the area of First and Race streets.
Rossell, who had an outstanding arrest warrant, had been spotted in the area by officers on patrol and was ordered to stop. Rossell allegedly fled and a chase ensued before he was apprehended in the 100 block of Race Street.
Charges for Rossell include the existing warrant for violation of probation as well as failure to obey a lawful order, obstruction and hindering, resisiting arrest and disturbing the peace.
He was being held in the Allegany County Detention Center Sunday on a combined bond of $4,000.
