BEDFORD, Pa. — An accident involving a school bus with 17 children on board left all the students unscathed Friday evening. The accident occurred at about 8:05 p.m. in Snake Spring Township on U.S. Route 30, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The school bus driver was attempting to turn left from a turning lane when he failed to see a passenger vehicle traveling westbound, police said.
The school bus traveled into the path of the Pontiac Aztek and although the driver of the Pontiac attempted to stop, the unidentified driver ran into the back of the International Harvester school bus, police said.
Both the bus and car drivers were uninjured, according to police. The Pontiac had to be towed from the scene. The bus driver was cited for failure to yield to oncoming traffic.
