Sobriety check set in Hardy County - 09/10

MOOREFIELD, W.Va. — In an effort to increase awareness of the hazards of drunken driving, the West Virginia State Police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint in Hardy County on Sept. 13-14, according to 1st Sgt. C.E. Platt, Troop 2, District 2 commander.

The checkpoint will be conducted on U.S. Route 220 in Hardy County from 8 p.m. Sept. 13 through 2 a.m. Sept. 14.

Various other events and patrols will be conducted that weekend to focus on the arrest of intoxicated drivers through the Governor’s Highway Safety Program.
