CUMBERLAND — Investigation of a two-vehicle crash on Oct. 31 at state Route 135 and Broadford Road led to one driver being cited for failure to yield right of way and driving an uninsured motor vehicle, according to the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office.
Amanda Kay Layton, 37, was injured in the 2:40 p.m. crash and taken to Garrett Memorial Hospital by Southern Garrett Rescue Squad for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Police said Layton was driving a 2005 GMC Yukon across from Broadford Road to Deer Park Hotel Road where she struck a 2007 Ford operated by Elizabeth L. Lee, 74, of Swanton. Lee apparently was not injured when the Layton vehicle struck the rear passenger side of the Lee vehicle.
Deer Park Volunteer Fire Department also responded.
