CUMBERLAND — Following an altercation in the 100 block of South Allegany Street on Friday evening, police were called about an individual making a disturbance after being asked to leave a residence and not return by the property’s owner, according to the Cumberland Police Department.
Nelson Williams, 41, was confronted by police and asked to remove himself from the property and not return according to the property owner’s wishes. Williams left as asked by police.
However, a call was received at 7:06 p.m. on Saturday that the disturbance had resumed.
Police found Williams again at the residence where the altercation had continued. He was placed under arrest and charged with disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct, trespassing and failure to obey a lawful order. Williams was being held on $3,000 bail.
