CUMBERLAND — A city man was jailed Wednesday after Cumberland Police served him with three arrests warrants — two of which stemmed from an August incident and the third for not showing up in court as scheduled.
Timothy Winkler, 29, remained jailed Thursday at the Allegany County Detention Center in lieu of bond totaling $12,500 in connection with the charges contained in the warrants.
Winkler allegedly assaulted a female victim in the 200 block of Maryland Avenue on Aug. 29.
The victim required medical treatment at the Western Maryland Regional Center after allegedly being struck in the face. Winkler was charged with second-degree assault.
Two days later in the 200 block of Maryland Avenue, Winkler allegedly entered a residence without authorization, destroyed property and left before police arrived to investigate. Winkler was charged with two counts of burglary and destruction of property and trespassing.
The third warrant charged Winkler with failure to appear in court in connection with a disorderly conduct charge, police said.
