CUMBERLAND — A city woman was arrested Sunday after she allegedly struck a man several times with a baseball bat, Cumberland Police said.
Elizabeth Anne Bonner, 45, was charged with first-degree assault, reckless endangerment and two counts of second-degree assault.
Following a bond hearing, Bonner was jailed on $5,000 bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.
Police said the victim was checked at the scene by personnel with the Cumberland Fire Department ambulance before he declined further treatment.
Bonner allegedly became combative and stomped on the foot of a police officer as she was being taken into custody where the incident occurred in the 700 block of North Mechanic Street, police said.
