CUMBERLAND — Cumberland Police officers on Saturday, arrested Roger Martz, 45, of Cumberland on a second-degree sexual assault charge and other charges. Martz was arrested during a traffic stop.
The warrant stemmed from a citizen complaint filed at Allegany County District Court. The complainant stated she was sexually assaulted by Martz in November and December 2012.
Martz was processed at the Cumberland Police Department and taken before a district court commissioner.
He was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center and ordered held on $35,000 bond. Martz was not listed as an inmate on the detention center’s website late Sunday.
