CUMBERLAND — A Baltimore man was arrested on drug distribution charges early Tuesday when Cumberland Police investigated a disturbance on Davidson Street.
Daniel Levon McQueen, 41, was charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of crack cocaine, assault on police, resisting arrest, second-degree assault and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Following a bond hearing, McQueen was jailed on $150,000 bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.
Police also issued a citation to Darrel Kevin Young, 32, of Glen Burnie, in the same incident for possession of marijuana under 10 grams.
Police said that when McQueen was questioned about a bulge in his pocket, he pushed the officer in an attempt to get back inside the house.
A search revealed 27 baggies of crack cocaine in McQueen’s possession and marijuana cigarettes in a vehicle ashtray.
