CUMBERLAND — A Cumberland man suffered apparently minor injuries late Saturday afternoon when his vehicle traveled out of control on U.S. Route 220 and overturned, according to the Cumberland Police Department.
Joseph Rotruck, 52, was taken to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center by a Cumberland Fire Department ambulance for treatment of apparently minor injuries following the 4:39 p.m. crash.
Police said Rotruck was operating a 2011 Toyota vehicle on Route 220 when he became distracted. The vehicle then traveled into a ditch, flipped onto its top and came to rest in the southbound lane.
No charges were filed, police said.
The roadway was shut down for a brief time until the vehicle was removed from the roadway.
