OAKLAND — Charges are pending in Monday’s crash on state Route 135 where a Chevrolet Blazer struck the rear of a logging truck, according to the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office.
Kenneth Haught, 24, of Lonaconing, and passenger Ashley Meyers, age not given, were taken to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center following the 6:20 a.m. crash.
No information was available on their injuries.
Police said Haught was driving the Blazer eastbound on Bloomington Hill when he struck the rear of a logging truck. The truck driver was not identified. He apparently was not injured.
Police said citations are pending in the accident that brought Bloomington and Deer Park fire and EMS units to the scene located in the area of the runaway truck ramp.
