CUMBERLAND — A city woman was arrested Tuesday on charges that she assaulted a man with a frying pan and then tied him up with leather straps, Cumberland Police said.
A warrant was served to Cindy Marie Miltenberger, 28, charging her with second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault and use of a deadly weapon with intent to injure, police said.
Milltenberger was jailed at the Allegany County Detention Center until Wednesday when she posted $2,000 bond set during a district court bail review.
The incident allegedly occurred at an unspecified city residence May 2.
The victim was asleep in a chair when he was allegedly struck in the head and then tied to the chair with leather straps while he was dazed by the blow.
The victim alleged he was then punched and choked by Miltenberger.
Officers reportedly observed injuries consistent with the victim’s account.
He declined medical treatment, police said.
