CUMBERLAND — Robert Kyle Miller, 41, LaVale, remained in jail Saturday on a bond of $25,000 after allegedly throwing a brick at a car and then attempting to strike one of the occupants with a machete.
Cumberland Police said the incident happened about 7:39 p.m. Friday at Maryland Avenue and Harrison Street.
Officers found a machete nearby and charged Miller with assault and reckless endangerment.
Also arrested at the scene was Whitney Nicole Hollingsworth, 24, Ridgeley, W.Va., after police discovered an active warrant for failing to appear at a court date to face charges of not paying child support. She was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center and was being held without bond.
