— CUMBERLAND — A Cumberland man who allegedly slapped another man, then pointed a loaded handgun at him — all during an argument over a wristwatch — was arrested by city police Friday night.

Harold Ivan Morris, 48, was charged with first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault and reckless endangerment, police said. He was being held on a $3,000 bond after an initial appearance before a district court commissioner.

Police said several guns were removed from Morris’ residence in the 500 block of Fayette St. and secured at police headquarters.
