SOMERSET, Pa. — An accident Saturday afternoon killed two people and seriously injured two others, Pennsylvania State Police said.
The accident occurred at about 12:02 p.m. at an intersection on Copper Kettle Highway in Milford Township. A purple Subaru Outback was traveling west in the westbound lane of Cross Road. A red GMC Sierra was traveling in the southbound lane of Copper Kettle Highway. The Subaru entered the Sierra’s lane of travel and the Sierra struck the passenger side of the Subaru. After the crash, both vehicles came to rest on the west side of the highway.
The driver of the Sierra, Roger Dale Hay, 61, was pronounced dead at the scene by the county coroner. Also pronounced dead was a 25-year-old passenger in the Subaru, who police did not identify. Seriously injured were Amy Michelle Oblack, 25, the driver of the Subaru, and Glennes Ann Miller, 61, a passenger in the Sierra. The condition of the survivors could not be updated Sunday.
Responders also included the New Centerville Fire Department, Marclay Ambulance and Herring Motors, police said.
