KEYSER, W.Va. — Investigation of an altercation in a North Main Street building Monday night led to the arrest of a Keyser woman, according to the Keyser Police Department.
Heather L. Jackson, 35, was arrested on charges of malicious wounding/unlawful assault and obstructing police by providing false information following investigation of the 8:15 p.m. complaint at 12 N. Main.
Tuesday morning, Jackson remained jailed on $1,850 bond at the Potomac Highlands Regional Jail in Augusta.
The victim of the assault suffered a head injury and was treated at Potomac Valley Hospital after being taken there by Keyser EMS.
Police said the altercation between two men occurred during a party in the apartment building. Jackson then reportedly picked up a piece of wood and struck the 43-year-old victim in the head, causing a laceration.
