CUMBERLAND — A city man was arrested early Tuesday in the area of Baltimore and Mechanic streets after allegedly threatening to stab a man.
Timothy H. Winkler, 29, was charged with reckless endangerment, use of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure, second-degree assault and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also charged by warrant with breaking and entering, stemming from an unrelated case in Allegany County.
Following a bond hearing, Winkler remained jailed Tuesday on $15,000 bond, pending a bail review hearing.
During the arrest, Winkler was found in possession of a smoking device containing suspected marijuana residue.
Police said no injuries occurred when Winkler brandished a folding knife in the alleged threat.
The arrest was made after the victim flagged down a passing Cumberland Police unit at 1:13 a.m.
