CUMBERLAND — Cumberland Police Friday served an arrest warrant on Nathan Ray Frye, 29, of Cumberland in connection with an Oct. 11 assault that took place on Arch Street.
During that incident, officers learned from a female victim that Frye had allegedly grabbed her by her throat, strangled her and threw her down on the couch.
Frye was charged with second-degree assault, disturbing the peace, false imprisonment and theft less than $1,000.
A criminal summons also was issued as a result of a second assault that took place on Oct. 8 also at the same Arch Street location. Frye allegedly got into an argument with his neighbor and punched him in the face causing minor injuries.
Frye was being held in the Allegany County Detention Center without bail.
