— SOMERSET, Pa. — A shooting incident Saturday at a residence along Shade Hollow Road in Elk Lick Township led to the arrest of an 82-year-old man, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Richard Livengood was arrested at the scene of the 9:05 a.m. incident by state troopers from Somerset and the turnpike barrack in addition to Maryland State Police from McHenry.

Livengood was charged with discharge of a firearm in an occupied structure, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment.

Following arraignment by Magistrate Sandra Stevanus, Livengood was jailed at the Somerset County Detention Center in lieu of $150,000 bond.

Police said that Livengood got out of his vehicle with a .22-caliber rifle, attempted to enter the locked residence and kicked the front door open. He then allegedly pointed the rifle through a kitchen window before returning to the front door where he discharged one round through the glass portion of the front door area.

Troopers subdued Livengood and placed him under arrest without further incident.

Police said the victims were four Salisbury residents ages 27, 52, 54 and 75.

No injuries were reported.
