West Virginia man injured in motor vehicle accident - 08/25

MCHENRY — A Mount Clare, W.Va., man was injured Friday afternoon when his sport utility vehicle crashed on Interstate 68.

Troopers with the Maryland State Police at McHenry responded to the reported rollover at 12:30 p.m. near the six-mile marker.

Yong Ming Chen, 38, was traveling westbound when his 2009 Honda CR-V left the roadway and crossed the median, struck a guardrail, then overturned several times across the eastbound lanes, according to police.

Chen was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.

He was cited for negligent driving, police said.

Also responding to the scene was Northern Garrett Rescue Squad, Friendsville Volunteer Fire Department and the Maryland State Highway Administration.
