Man injured in U.S. Route 219 crash - 07/09

SALISBURY, Pa. — A 61-year-old Salisbury man was injured Sunday when his vehicle traveled out of control and overturned along U.S. Route 219 near the Traditions Restaurant in Elk Lick Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Richard Steers was taken to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center following the 2:07 p.m. crash for treatment of unknown injuries. He was taken there by private vehicle.

Police said Steers was operating a 2001 Jeep Cherokee northbound on Route 219 when he failed to negotiate a curve, lost control, traveled up an embankment and overturned.
