CUMBERLAND — A woman was charged Sunday after allegedly assaulting a police officer who was conducting an investigation into a domestic assault.
Tracy Lynn Malloy, 41, of Cumberland, was charged with second-degree assault and failure to obey a lawful order. Cumberland Police arrived at a Bedford Street address to investigate the assault. While they were interviewing the roommates, Malloy was told to remain inside the residence, police said.
At some point, Malloy “forced her way” onto the front porch where the officers were, allegedly assaulted an officer and interfered with the investigation, police said.
Malloy was released on her own recognizance by a court commissioner.
