3/5 - Three ‘Most Wanted’ fugitives arrested Thursday

CUMBERLAND — Three of the six people who appeared in the Thursday edition of the Times-News as “Allegany County Most Wanted” fugitives were arrested that same day by members of the C3I Warrant/Fugitive Unit.

Shawn Daniel Nolan, 21, of Frostburg, who was wanted for second-degree escape and obstruction of justice, was arrested in Midland with the assistance of the Allegany County Bureau of Police and the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office. He was being held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center, pending his next court appearance.

James Frederick VanMeter, 23, of Keyser, W.Va., was wanted for distribution of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of CDS. He was arrested when he appeared for a hearing at district court. VanMeter posted $1,000 bond and is free pending his next court appearance.

Cody Michael Fisher, 25, of Cumberland, who was wanted for first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and related charges, turned himself in after his photo appeared in the paper. He also is being held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center pending his next court appearance.
