CUMBERLAND - Raymond "Amy" Norwood Largent, 69, of Cumberland, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, at the WMHS-Memorial Campus.

Born July 24, 1939, in Paw Paw, W.Va., he was the son of the late Grafton High Largent and Hazel Virginia (Spencer) Largent. Mr. Largent was also preceded in death by a sister, Virginia K. Hamilton; and three brothers, Charles, Vance and James Largent.

A United States Army veteran of the Vietnam Era, Amy retired from Lear Manufacturing in Winchester, Va.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patricia Lee Largent; his daughters, Tina M. Largent, Towson, and Tamara L. Early, Laurel; his brothers, Calvin Largent and his wife Daisy, Zanesville, Ohio, and Ralph Largent, Martinsburg, W.Va.; his sister, Yvonne Powell, Martinsburg; and three grandchildren, Matthew, Elizabeth and Michael Early.

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, at 10 a.m. with Father Bernard Finerty, O.F.M., Cap., as celebrant.

Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home by the Post 13 Veterans Honor Guard on Wednesday at 3:45 p.m.
