Ruth E. Largent [Glen Burnie]

Ruth E. Largent, 80, of Glen Burnie, died Monday, May 1, 2008 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 18, 1927 in Cumberland.

Ruth had previously worked for Avon Sales. She was a member of the Pascal Senior Center, Moose Club, Elks Club, Disabled American Veterans 13, Elvaton Baptist Church and was a Campfire Girls leader.

She enjoyed ceramics, Bingo, traveling on bus trips, sewing, crafts, playing sports and watching her grandchildren.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 43 years, William M. Largent; her children, Donald D. Daris, Glen Burnie, Donna Chadwell, Ellicott City, Diana Trotta, Pasadena, Md. and William F. Largent Sr., Glen Burnie; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Kyle.

Friends will be received at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, 1 2nd Ave., SW, Glen Burnie, on Monday, May 5, 2008 and Tuesday, May 6, 2008 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10 a.m.

Interment will be in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, Md.
