LARGO — Johnee’ Durham scored a team-high 14 points and Kaliyah Creasey added 13, leading Potomac State past Prince George’s 62-55 on Saturday afternoon.

Durham made six shots from the floor and was 2 for 3 from the free-throw line, as she also picked up six rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Creasey converted on four field goals, including a pair of three-pointers, and was 3 of 4 from the charity stripe. She led the team in rebounds with eight while also collecting six steals.

Sydney Lyons and Katlynn Tichnell added nine points each, with Lyons hauling in seven boards.

Gina Seifert led Prince George’s with 19 points, Imani Yates added 13 and Camry Gantt 10.

The Catamounts trailed at the end of the first three quarters — 16-14, 37-27 and 44-41 — as they won the second half 35-18 (21-11 in the fourth quarter) to collect the win.

Potomac State (6-6) hosts Anne Arundel on Monday, 5 p.m.

Hagerstown 83 Allegany 72

HAGERSTOWN — Allegany College of Maryland received big games from Jonae Bean, Jaylin Whitlock and Symone Grant, but Hagerstown Community College had a little more, as the Lady Hawks defeated the Lady Trojans, 83-72, Saturday in women’s JUCO basketball.

Bean scored 23 points and had 20 rebounds for Allegany, which led 35-34 at the half, and Whitlock scored 23 points and had 10 assists. On top of that, Grant scored 22 points and had 20 rebounds as well.

Hagerstown, however, had more depth, with Sierra Therrah scoring 24 points and Alexis Harris 22. Chelsea Cover scored 10 points for Hagerstown with six other players scoring as well, opposed to two other players outside the big three scoring a combined three points for Allegany.

Allegany (2-5) will host Penn Highlands Monday, 6 p.m.
