ROMNEY, W.Va. — Michala Garrison spun a gem, allowing just four hits in a complete game for Fort Hill in a 6-1 win at Hampshire on Wednesday.

The Trojans didn’t score their run until the seventh inning. Kasey Combs and Cierra Funk combined to allow six runs on 10 hits.

Shania James smacked three singles, while Alexis Kimmell tripled and singled for the Sentinels.

Hampshire (3-9) plays at Mountain Ridge today at 4:30 p.m. Fort Hill (7-3) hosts Keyser on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.

EH 8, Petersburg 7

BAKER, W.Va. — Morgan Mongold belted her fourth homer of the season for East Hardy in a win over Petersburg at East Hardy on Wednesday.

Mongold’s solo homer was one of four fourth-inning runs scored. She also doubled. Ruby Fridley hit a two-run single in the fourth and Marilyn Cassell singled three times.

Marly Thompson raked two doubles and a single for the Vikings. Brittany Bible drove in two on two hits.

East Hardy (12-2) plays at Musselman today at 4 p.m. Petersburg (8-2) plays at Frankfort on Friday, 4 p.m.
