GREENSBURG, Pa. — Rob Jennings had two hits and four RBIs, J.K. Filauro knocked in a pair of runs and Brandon Remalia and Dylan Shupe had two hits each to lead Frostburg State to a 7-4 win over Pitt-Greensburg on a chilly Wednesday afternoon.
Frostburg got on the board first on a two-run double by Filauro. Jennings added an RBI single to make it 3-0.
After Greensburg closed to within 3-2, Kevin Kean extended his hitting streak to 23 games with a leadoff single in the fifth, stole second and eventually scored on a sacrifice fly by Jennings to make it 4-2.
A sacrifice fly by Remalia made it 5-2 in the sixth. Steven Zerbini hit a two-run homer to help Greensburg cut it to a one-run game again, but Jennings countered with a two-run shot of his own to put FSU up 7-4.
Reliever Joe Markiewicz Jr. got the win and struck out four in 1 2/3 innings. Shupe finished and got the save with two hitless innings.
Dan Moyer went 4 for 4 for Greensburg.
Frostburg’s home game with Shenandoah on Thursday was postponed. The Bobcats will play a weekend series at St. Mary’s starting with a doubleheader on Saturday.
