CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Union High School senior Tiffany Jones made it three in a row at the Class A state track and field championships at Laidley Field.

Jones won the Class A girls shot put state championship for the third straight year, winning the title this year with a throw of 34 feet, 2 inches. She also placed seventh in the discus with a mark of 97 feet.

Jones won her first state championship in 2011, which was the first state championship in the Mount Storm school’s history.

Also a three-time Potomac Valley Conference champion in the shot put, Jones is being recruited by several West Virginia colleges and is expected to make her decision next month.
