Valley High football reunion Saturday

KEYSER, W.Va. — A reunion for all former Valley High School football alumni, hosted by coaches Tom Harman and Jack Gilmore, will be held at the Mountaineer Cafe in Keyser Saturday, Aug. 3 at 7 p.m.

CAYFL to meet    this evening

CUMBERLAND  — The Cumberland Area Youth Football League will hold a regularly scheduled meeting tonight, at 8 o’clock, at the Cumberland Outdoor Club.

All Division I coaches must be in attendance.

Cardinals still accepting players

CUMBERLAND  — The Cumberland Cardinals Pee Wee football team is looking for football players.

Any player that is the age of 6 before Sept. 1 and not 12 before Sept. 1 of this year is eligible to play.

Anyone interested should call Coach Spencer at 301-697-0420.

Traveling softball team sets tryouts

CUMBERLAND  — The Queen City Curve, a newly formed traveling softball team, will hold tryouts on Aug. 3 and Aug. 10 at Cavanaugh Field for the 2014 season.

There are four different age groups available.

Tryouts for the 12-and-under division will be at 9 a.m on both Saturdays. The 14-and-under players will try out at 1 p.m., the 16-and-under at 4 p.m. and the 18-and-under at 7 p.m.
