BALTIMORE — Three players from Community College of Baltimore County Essex scored in double figures to help defeat Allegany College of Maryland, 63-51, Friday night in the Trojans’ first game following Christmas break.
Essex outscored the Trojans 37-25 in the second half for the 12-point victory. The game was tied at 26 at halftime.
Shawn Bozier led Essex with 14 points. Timon Johnson added 13 and Emmanuel Mossengo added 12.
Allegany was powered by Larry Terry’s 14 points. Ricky Mosley added 12 and Chris Day 10.
Terry, with nine rebounds, just missed a double-double. Day had six assists and three rebounds. Davon Williams pulled down seven rebounds.
Allegany (3-11, 0-5 Maryland JUCO) hosts Anne Arundel on Monday beginning at 7 p.m.
Essex has won four of its last five to improve to 5-9.
