Eagles claw Greg’s

POTOMAC PARK  — T.J. Hartley took a no-hitter into the seventh inning before finishing with one hit allowed and nine strikeouts during a 9-2 win for Cresaptown Eagles over Greg’s Auto Body Friday at Memorial Field.

Hartley also had three of Cresaptown’s eight hits with a trio of singles, and Bryson Shepherd had a double to go along with two singles.

Dilley had Greg’s only hit, an infield single in the top of the seventh inning.

Cresaptown (10-4-1) plays on Tuesday at Hyndman. Greg’s plays Monday at Oakland against Cork’s Cars.

POTOMAC PARK — Austin Farrell raked two doubles and a single for Cumberland Rotary as they outlasted Twigg’s Plumbing & Heating, 11-8, at Hamilton Field Friday.

Garrett Kesner got the win, throwing a complete game. He allowed three runs in the first six innings before Twigg’s scored five in the seventh. He along with: Noah Steckman, Braden Stott and Cam Chortenning each hit two singles.

Zack Ruppenkamp, Caden Watts, Danny May and Jordan Warner all knocked two singles.

Rotary (9-4-1) play Cumberland Optimist today at the Hot Stove Complex at 1:30 p.m.

POTOMAC PARK — Noah Bible and Brett Whiteman each lined a double and two singles to lead Ridgeley VFW to a 10-8 win over Riverside Sports at Holler Field Friday.

Wyatt Yates doubled. Cody Shepherd and Garrett Weaver both had two singles.

Hunter Wilhelm and Carson Imes doubled. Austin Martin added two singled in the loss.

Ridgeley VFW improves to 12-3 and play at Frostburg 1st United Wednesday at 6 p.m.
