SHORT GAP, W.Va. — Emilynn Corbin scored twice in the first half and No. 3 Hampshire added an insurance goal in the second in a 3-1 win over No. 4 Frankfort Saturday in Short Gap.
Corbin scored an unassisted goal 30 minutes deep, and then converted an assist from Courtney Oaks five minutes later. The Trojans (8-2-1) added their third goal with 8:59 left in the second half when Taylor Harwood assisted Brooke Harwood.
Each team attempted 14 shots, with Tori Veach making three saves in the shutout and Brooke Snyder stopping 11 shots for the Falcons.
Frankfort (9-3-1) plays Southern at home today at 4:30. Hampshire (8-2-1) plays at Petersburg on Wednesday afternoon.
