Grantsville rolls over First United behind HRs

— GRANTSVILLE — Noah Werner and Ben Beeman hit back-to-back home runs in a nine-run third inning to lead Grantsville Sons of the American Legion to a five-inning, 10-0 victory over Frostburg First United on Wednesday at Grantsville Park.

Werner’s home run run was a two-run homer and he also had two singles to finish with four RBIs. Beeman also singled to knock in two runs.



Cayleb Broadwater had two singles for Grantsville SAL, Devin Wilhelm a two-run single and Colton Houser a tworun double.



Grantsville SAL (2-1) will play Twigg’s Plumbing and
Heating Friday at Memorial Field. First United will play Cork’s Cars Saturday at Broadford Park.

OAKLAND — Three players combined to drive in eight runs as Lakeview Auto Parts defeated Team One Auto Mall in five innings Monday evening at Broadford Park.



Logan Yommer and Peyton Carr each had three RBIS and Calyb King two. Yommer belted two doubles and a base hit. Carr had three singles and King doubled and singled.



Alec Horner led Team One with two doubles and two RBIs. Ryan Rozell had two hits including a double.



Lakeview (4-0) plays Chaney-Buskirk Insurance on Friday at Northern High School. Team One Auto Mall

(2-2) plays Chestnut Ridge on Friday at Memorial Field beginning at 8 p.m.

OAKLAND — Madigan’s Auto put six on the board in the first inning on its way to defeating Ridgeley Bill Miller Tuesday at Broadford Park.

Madigan’s was led by John Wagner with a triple and a single and two runs scored, Brandon Lucas with a double and three RBIs and Logan Hinebaugh a triple and two RBIs.

Brandon Hanline went the distance to get the win for Madigan’s, giving up three hits and striking out nine.

For Bill Miller, Rhodes doubled, singled and scored a run.

Madigan’s (2-1) will play Kiwanis Saturday at Holler Field.
