Norris lifts Greg’s Auto over Chaney-Buskirk, 4-0

— POTOMAC PARK — Hayden Norris broke a scoreles tie in the bottom of the sixth inning to spark a 4-0 victory by Greg’s Auto Body over Chaney-Buskirk Insurance.

Norris provided the first runs of the game with a two-run single as Greg’s Auto Body was able to score four runs in the inning.

Caleb Wharton struck out the side in the top of the seventh inning to complete the win — he finished with 12 strikouts and allowed just three hits.

Greg’s Auto Body (8-5-1) will play Friday at Memorial Field against the Cumberland Lions.

GRANTSVILLE — Hunter Mallow allowed four hits and Cayleb Broadwater belted a three-run double to power the Grantsville Sons of American Legion over the Cresaptown Eagles/Riverside Sports in five innings Wednesday evening.

Mallow struck out five without any walks in scattering four singles.

Grantsville totaled nine hits and built a nine-run lead through three innings, scoring three in the first, one in the second, and putting five up in the third before putting the 10-run rule into play with a run in the fourth.

Colton Houser and Noah Warner both had two base hits and combined for three RBIs with Warner bringing in two. Ben Beeman also had two RBIs with a base hit and a sacrifice fly while Broadwater’s three-run double highlighted the five-run third. Mallow also had a double.

Grantsville (12-3) visits Salisbury on Wednesday while the Eagles (8-5) play at  Salisbury tonight.

CRESAPTOWN — Clark Morin drove in five runs to power Lakeview Auto Body over KMK Insurance/Outdoor Power Wednesday evening at Bel Air Field.

Morin had a three-run triple and a two-run base hit as part of Lakeview’s 12-hit attack. Bryce Jones and Calyb King each had two hits and an RBI with one of King’s hits being a double. Peyton Carr had two RBIs and Cody Eyler one.

Winning pitcher Logan Yommer struck out six while allowing seven hits in the five-inning game.

Caleb Sivic led KMK with two hits, a double and RBI single, while Adikes Nicol and Tyler Eirich each had two base hits. Nicol had an RBI.

Lakeview (14-2) hosts Taylor Mining on Friday, 6 p.m., at Northern High School. KMK/Outdoor Power (4-7) plays Chestnut Ridge tonight at Hamilton Field.
