Fort Hill outlasts Mountain Ridge

Frankfort 3, Washington 1

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Frankfort split a pair of matches Thursday, defeating Washington, 26-24, 22-25 and 25-17, and losing to Martinsburg, 23-25 and 22-25.

Against Washington, Stephanie Cornachia had nine points, three aces 15 kills and six digs, while Brittany Porter had seven points, 14 kills and 33 digs and Morgan Long seven points and five digs. Mikala Miller had six points, two aces, 13 kills and 20 digs, Autumn Dishman four points and 30 digs, and Alexis Rice four points, an ace, 39 assists and 10 digs.

Against Martinsburg, Cornachia had six points and 11 kills, Miller five points, six kills and eight digs, Rice 21 assists, Porter 15 digs, five kills and two points and Dishman 12 digs and two points.

Frankfort (26-7-1) will play Monday at Allegany.

 

Northern 3, Bishop Walsh 0

CUMBERLAND — Amanda Monahan served 24 points and 12 aces to lead Northern to a 25-6, 25-14, 25-18 win at Bishop Walsh on Thursday.

Rhiannon Dodge led the Huskies in assists with 17. Torie Devine served four points, with six kills and five digs. Kayla Porter had five kills along with four points and four aces.

For the Spartans, Ally Simpson served five points and had seven assists. Meredith Dunn recorded four points, two kills and three blocks. Marissa Sensabaugh added five points and three aces.

Northern improves to 6-6 and plays at Southern on Wednesday. Bishop Walsh drops to 2-13 and plays at St. James Monday at 6 p.m.

 

Calvary 2, Hampshire 1

ROMNEY, W.Va. —  Calvary Christian Academy defeated Hampshire, 2-1, and lost to University, 2-1. University, in the meantime, lost to Hampshire, 2-0, Thursday at Hampshire.

Against Hampshire, Calvary’s Shakayla Ganoe had 17 kills, 16 service points with four aces, and eight blocks. Rachelle Ganoe had 28 assists, 22 points, an ace and four kills. Savannah Reed had 11 kills, six points, three aces and three blocks. Jada Lowery had 25 points, three aces, 13 assists and two kills and Savannah Chaney had seven points and five aces.

Calvary (15-5) played Friday in Frederick against New Life.
