CUMBERLAND — Joe MacAulay shot a 72 to lead the field and the Allegany College golf team to victory in the ACM Spring Tournament on Tuesday.
Jake Bond shot a 79 and Joel Fradiska had an 82 to lead the Trojans, who won a team score of 319. Cecil was second with a 412. Four other teams had incomplete team scores.
Earlier, Bond shot a 71 and led a strong team performance that carried Allegany College to victory in the Garrett College spring golf tournament at the Oakland Golf club.
The Trojans won with a team score of 305 and 15-stroke margin of victory over runner-up Southern Maryland. Cecil had 337, Harford 356 and Hagerstown 357. Anne Arundel, Frederick and Garrett did not have a team score.
MacAulay was second individually with a 76, Fradiska and Darryl Simpkins tied for fifth with 79s and Andrew Medovich an 81 for Allegany. Les Bittinger was low for Garrett with an 83.
