Muir, Kiwanis win, 11-0

POTOMAC PARK — Ryan Muir held the Cumberland Lions to one hit over the first four innings as his Kiwanis’ teammates built him an 11-0 lead that led to a five-inning victory Saturday at Hamilton Field to close out the Hot Stove regular season.

On offense, Kiwanis scored in all four innings it batted, beginning with three runs in the first. It added two in the second, and three more in the each of the final two frames to close out at 11.

Darron Warner led the offense with a triple and a double. Connor Kelley and Jason Copman both added two singles, and Josh Cooper doubled.

Drew Robertson had two of the Lions’ three hits.

Kiwanis finishes the season at 5-13.

POTOMAC PARK — KMK Insurance erupted for nine runs in the fourth inning on its way to an 11-1 win over Grantsville S.A.L. Friday at Hamilton Field.

KMK used seven hits to score the nine runs and took a 10-1 lead by doing so. It added the final run in the bottom of the fifth to activate the mercy rule.

Mike Simanski, Blake Milburn and Logan Milburn all finished with three runs batted in on two singles.

Logan Milburn held Grantsville to one run on two hits in five innings.

KMK ends the regular season at 11-6-1, and Grantsville at 9-9.
