Moose roars back to beat Northside

— MCHENRY — Vinny Foreman, Nate Souders and Grant Wolfe had run-scoring hits during a seven-run outburst in the seventh inning that sent Moose Lodge 271 to an 8-4 win over the Northside Diamond Dogs in Rec League baseball Wednesday night at Garrett College.

The Moose (8-7) trailed 4-1 going into the final inning. Foreman’s RBI double into the right field corner cut the score to 4-3, and Souders tied it with an RBI single. Wolfe’s two-run single came later in the inning, and put the Moose on top 7-4.

Souders finished with a double, single and two RBIs to lead a seven-hit Moose attack. Pat Sines hit a two-run double for Northside.

Brandon Reed, who threw three shutout innings, got the win in relief.

The Moose will play again Monday in the first round of the league playoffs. The opponent and site have yet to be determined.
