MPSSAA directions to Towson University

TOWSON — The following directions to Towson University’s SECU Arena, where the Maryland girls state basketball tournament will take place through the weekend, were posted on Southern will face Mardela today, 3 p.m., in the Class 1A semifinal.

From the Baltimore Beltway I-695 (toward Towson):

• Take Exit 25 for Charles Street and head south on Charles Street.

• Take left at Towsontown Boulevard.

• Turn right at Osler Drive and then proceed through three stoplights and turn right at the second sign for Auburn Drive.

• SECU Arena will be on your left.

Parking in the lots around SECU Arena is free but drivers must adhere to all campus parking regulations to ensure they are parked in the appropriate areas.


Mountain Ridge to honor state champs

FROSTBURG — Mountain Ridge will conduct a recognition assembly on Thursday, 2 p.m., in the main gym. Three individual state champions will be recognized for their accomplishments. At the Class 2A MPSSAA Indoor Track State Championships, Madison Offstein won the 800 meters and Molly Offstein won the 3200 meters. Adam Martz was the 152-pound champion at the 1A/2A Maryland State Wrestling Championships. This assembly is open to the public.

LaVale baseball final sign-up Wednesday

LaVALE — The LaVale Athletic Association will hold a final registration for LaVale baseball, ages 11-12, Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m., at Chick-fil-A in the Country Club Mall. For information, call 240-727-2979.


DD executive board meets Thursday

CUMBERLAND — The Dapper Dan Club will hold an executive board meeting Thursday, 8 p.m., at The Goodfellowship Club. The upcoming baseball season will be discussed.
