Potomac State drops two more

— MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Potomac State dropped a pair on Tuesday, 9-1 to Sauk Valley and 8-5 to Genesee, in junior college softball action at the Grand Parks Sports Complex.

In the opener, Sauk Valley used three three-run innings to defeat the Catamounts — the first, the fourth and the sixth.

Sam Hoban had three singles for Potomac State, while Britani Chambers singled and doubled.

In the second-game loss to Genesee, Courtney Slada doubled as Genesee used a five-run fourth to secure the victory. Potomac State, which scored two in the second, two in the fourth and one in the seventh, was led by Chambers with a single and a double.

Potomac State (0-4) will play Rend Lake today at 9:30 a.m.
