Calvary rolls to 8-0 win

CRESAPTOWN — Victoria Moreland scored four goals, netting the first in the opening minutes and then scoring the final goal of the afternoon, to lead Calvary to an 8-0 win over Cumberland Valley on Monday in Cresaptown.

Moreland was responsible for the first, third and fourth goals of the first half to help the Eagles build a 6-0 lead at halftime. She then scored the second goal of the second half to finish the day’s scoring.

Mikala Ultis finished with three assists and one goal and Atsidi Smith had one goal and one assist. Janelle Reed assisted Ellyn Daniels and Katelyn Corwell for the final two goals of the first half.

Kerenne Shaffer made 13 saves in Calvary’s ninth shutout of the year.

The Eagles (11-0, 10-0 Mason-Dixon Christian Conference) plays at home today against Shalom.
