Good Timers golf begins Monday
RAWLINGS — The Good Timers Golf League at Fore Sisters Golf Club will begin Monday at 4:30.
Players should be at the course by 4 p.m., or should call a half an hour early to be placed on a team.
Anyone interested in joining the league should contact Fore Sisters.
Catholic golf league sets
FROSTBURG — The Western Maryland Catholic Mixed Golf League will open its season on Thursday, April 24, at Maplehurst Country Club.
Play will begin at 6 p.m. and is available to anyone age 14 or older. Questions should be directed to the St. Patrick’s Church Parish Office at 301-777-1750.
Anyone interested in playing is urged to attend an organizational meeting at St. Patrick’s Social Hall on Tuesday, April 8, at 6:30 p.m.
All-Area basketball nominations requested
CUMBERLAND — The Times-News is asking boys and girls basketball head coaches to submit nominations for the all-area team to the sports department.
Coaches should turn in names and relevant stats for any players they would like to nominate.

Harford beats CCA 5-1 in girls soccer
CRESAPTOWN — Lissie Druyor scored two goals and Stephanie Tittel had a goal and an assist to help Harford Christian to a 5-1 win over Calvary Christian in high school girls soccer Saturday afternoon.
Calvary grabbed a quick lead when Chesni Ultis scored an unassisted goal three minutes into the match. Tittel’s goal tied it with 19 minutes left in the half, and Crystal Kline and Druyor scored in the final five minutes to make it 3-1 at the half.
It remained 3-1 until Druyor and Lily Loomis scored in the final 10 minutes of the second half.
Harford led in shots 10-3 and both teams had two corner kicks. Karly Hipsley made seven saves in goal for Calvary (0-1-1), which plays again Monday, at 4 p.m., at Carroll Christian.
