Jackson scores 32 in FSU’s loss

ASHLAND, Va. — Manhattanville outscored Frostburg State 21-5 over the final six minutes to defeat the Bobcats 74-58 in the opening round of the Randolph-Macon Coaches Classic on Saturday.

Jack Bramswig had 22 points and 13 rebounds and Colin Campbell 18 points for Manhattanville (7-4) to help offset a 32-point game by Frostburg State’s Christian Jackson.

Jackson also had 11 rebounds in his first double-double of the season. Kwambina Coker added nine points and Shawn Henson had 10 rebounds.

Frostburg (4-8) led by as many as 12 points in the first half and was up 32-27 at halftime. Jackson hit a pair of foul shots late in the second half to tie it at 53, and Manhattanville went on the 21-5 run over the final 6:18 for the 16-point win.

Frostburg State will play Washington in today’s 1 p.m. consolation game.
