ACM beats PG, 59-51

CUMBERLAND — Monique Rhodes scored 25 points and Madi Nightengale had 16 as Allegany rode a strong team performance to a 59-51 win over Prince George’s in Maryland JUCO action Wednesday at Bob Kirk Arena.

Derica Souder added 10 points, Paris Duncan grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds and Christina Briscoe dished out seven assists for the Trojans, who went on top for good midway through the second half.

“It was a great team win for us. We had all-out effort on both ends of the floor,’’ said ACM coach Bethany Sindy. “The girls rallied together and made good decisions with the basketball, and we had players step up and make big plays.”
