Tasker leads Keyser over Berkeley Springs

— BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — Katie Tasker had team highs with 15 service points and 11 kills to lead Keyser past Berkeley Springs.

Game scores were 25-23, 22-25, 25-10 and 25-19.

Kendall Keplinger added nine points and six kills for Keyser.

The Keyser jayvees also won, 25-8, 25-12. Tameryn Barrick had 13 service points and Tori Kane five.

The Keyser varsity (3-2) and jayvees (4-1) will host Spring Mills on Thursday.

Calvary 3, Faith 0

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Undefeated Calvary Christian Academy swept Faith Christian, 25-13, 25-1 and 25-21 Tuesday night at Faith.

Calvary was led by Jada Lowery with 37 service points with 10 aces, one kill and one block. Karly Hipsley had nine kills with four blocks and Rachella Ganoe had 18 assists with two kills and three service points with one block.

Calvary (8-0) will play Friday, 5:30 p.m., at Heritage.

Paw Paw drops pair

MOOREFIELD, W.Va. — The Paw Paw Pirates dropped a pair of matches at Moorefield, falling to the the host Yellow Jackets and Pendleton in a tri-match on Tuesday.

Paw Paw lost to Moorefield 25-14, 25-14. Andrea Rodriguez had five service points, three blocks and two aces, and Jessica Willis and Brandi Kidwell two service points.

The Pirates lost to Pendleton by 25-12, 25-12 scores. Rodriguez had a team-high nine service points and three aces, and Willis added four points.

Paw Paw (2-3) hosts Hope for Hyndman Charter School on Friday.

Falcons, Rams split

SHORT GAP, W.Va. — In Southern’s four-set loss Monday at Frankfort, Lauren Francillon had 10 digs, nine kills and seven points for the Rams. Becca Lee had 13 points, two aces and eight assists, while Michaela Bush had eight points, four assists and a kill.

In Southern’s three-set win in the junior varsity match, Jordyn Sines led the Rams with 17 points, three aces, nine assists and two kills. Lauryn Moon had six points and three kills, and Morgan Winegardner had six points, three aces and six kills.

Both Southern teams are 2-1 and will play Thursday at Hampshire.
