Streaking Salisbury deals Northern its first loss, 3-0

SALISBURY, Pa. — Brooke Gray had six aces and Amy Maust nailed four kills as Salisbury handed Northern its first loss, 3-0, Wednesday evening in high school volleyball action at Salisbury.

Game scores were 25-11, 25-22 and 25-20.

The Elks, which began the season 0-4, have won their last two matches.

Brianna Buckel led Northern with eight points, an ace and three digs. Lilly Sweitzer had six points, two aces and four digs.

Northern’s junior varsity won 25-11 and 25-14. Madison Rush had 20 points and Kendra Friend 11 points and two assists.

Both teams play tonight at 6 p.m. Northern (2-1) visits Mountain Ridge and Salisbury (2-4) is at Hope for Hyndman.
