FROSTBURG — Mountain Ridge’s Molly Offstein and Madison Offstein finished one-two, and Hampshire’s Casey Feezle took the boys individual title to lead their teams to Appalachian Mountain Athletic Conference cross country championships Thursday at Glendening Park.
Molly Offstein finished first in the girls meet in a time of 20 minutes, 58 seconds, while Madison Offstein placed second in 21:34. Feezle took the boys run in 18:12, 10 seconds ahead of second-place Devan Hamrick of Southern.
The Mountain Ridge girls won the team championship with 28 points, followed by Hampshire at 36, Frankfort 57 and Southern 99.
The Hampshire boys took the team title with 54 points, followed by Southern with 60, Keyser 63, Frankfort 75, Mountain Ridge 138, Bishop Walsh 156 and Allegany 157.
The top 10 finishers in both the boys and girls meets earned recognition on the All-AMAC Team.
Following the Offsteins in the girls meet were Hampshire’s Morgan Roach, who finished third in 21:50, Mountain Ridge’s Andy Bennett, who placed fourth in 21:59, and Allegany’s Kaylee Buckbee, who was fifth in 21:59.
Rounding out the top 10 to earn All-AMAC were Hampshire’s Ashleigh Martin, 22:17; Bishop Walsh’s Maggie Czapski, 22:32; Hampshire’s Rachel Lipps, 22:32.5; Frankfort’s Julianna Butcher, 22:58; and Hampshire’s Mary Feaster, 23:13.
Following Feezle and Hamrick in the boys race, were Keyser’s Leland Henderson, who finished third in 18:27, Lucas Young of Frankfort fourth, 18:36, and Allegany’s Walker McGrath fifth, 18:42.
Completing the All-AMAC boys team were Southern’s Greyson Messenger, 18:43; Hampshire’s Nathan Coyle, 18:44; Southern’s Aaron Rodeheaver, 18:50; Mountain Ridge’s Jody Besaw, 18:56; and Keyser’s Jordan Lawrence, 18:57.
