Frankfort routs Keyser

KEYSER, W.Va. — Colten Dorsey pitched six innings, allowed two runs and drove in two runs on three hits at the plate for Frankfort in a 16-2 victory at Keyser on Wednesday.

Dorsey allowed just three hits and struck out seven. Braiden Popluhar pitched the seventh and had four hits, an RBI and scored three runs. Tyler Conley scored three times and Ryan Chase scored twice. Josh McNeil doubled and singled.

Josh Bane and Connor Housel drove in the runs for the Golden Tornado.

Keyser (0-9) hosts Berkeley Springs today at 6:30 p.m. Frankfort (6-7) hosts Mountain Ridge on Friday at 4:30 p.m.

EH sweeps Paw Paw

BAKER, W.Va. — Wyatt Basye, Korey Foltz, Tyler Mongold and Shawn Skovron all homered for East Hardy in 12-0 and 13-0 wins over Paw Paw at East Hardy on Wednesday.

Foltz led off the bottom of the first with his homer in the first game and added an RBI sacrifice fly later in the nine-run inning. Justin Basye drove in two with a double.

Josh Newlon and Damian Powell recorded singles in each game to account for all four of Paw Paw’s hits.

In game two, Skovron launched a two-run homer in the first. Mongold’s two-run bomb was in the second and Wyatt Basye belted a two-run homer in the third.

East Hardy (9-5) plays at Moorefield on Friday at 7 p.m. and Paw Paw (0-6) hosts Trinity at 4:30 p.m.

Petersburg JV    2

OAKLAND — Zack Hamline pitched a one-hitter, striking out five, to lead the Southern junior varsity baseball team over Petersburg Wednesday at Southern.

Corey Horner, Shawn Markwood and Austin Reckart all had two singles and knocked in runs for the Rams, with Horner knocking in two.

Southern (7-2) will play today at Holler Field against Allegany.
